MEN’S FOOTBALL: Brora Rangers hold a three-point lead in the Highland League before this evening’s home match against Nairn County while second-placed Brechin, who sacked manager Patrick Cregg at the weekend, travel to Deveronvale. Banks O’Dee, three points further back in third, visit Huntly, Formartine meet Lossiemouth, Fraserburgh take on new bottom club Rothes and fellow strugglers Strathspey play Buckie Thistle.

MEN’S CRICKET: Following on from his failure to be snapped up at the Indian Premier League auction Jimmy Anderson has entered the draft for this year’s domestic Hundred competition. Forty-two-year-old Anderson is England’s all-time leading wicket taker and also holds the record for the most wickets taken by a pace bowler in test cricket. He has not previously appeared in the Hundred and last played Twenty20 cricket in 2014.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Wexford top the League of Ireland by a point after a late strike from Kyle White sealed their 2-1 victory over Cork in Monday night’s Munster derby. Drogheda won 1-0 at Bohemians to move second while defending champions Shelbourne drew 1-1 in Galway to slip into third place. St Patrick’s saw off Derry 2-0 and twenty one-time champions Shamrock Rovers are bottom and winless following their 2-1 loss at Sligo Rovers.
