MEN’S FOOTBALL: The new League of Ireland season is only two games old, but defending champions Shelbourne take the only remaining 100 per cent record into Dublin’s Ringsend derby against Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park tonight.

Newly promoted Cork face Bohemians, it’s second against third as Drogheda host Galway, Derry City play Waterford and bottom club Sligo are looking for their first point when they travel to St Patrick’s.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Goals from Zsombor Garat and Cooper Zach sealed a 2-0 win for Nottingham Panthers over Belfast Giants in the second leg of their Challenge Cup semi-final on Wednesday night but they lost out 3-2 on aggregate to the Irishmen.
