RMT schedules new strikes at ScotRail
Union condemns ‘cavalier’ attitude to safety

RAIL union RMT has confirmed new dates for strike action over ScotRail’s “disgraceful and cavalier” attitude towards jobs and safety as management insist on imposing driver-only operation (DOO) trains.

The new action follows a series of “rock-solid” strikes across Scotland, including last weekend, which the union says have yet to produce any meaningful progress on the core issues of the dispute.

The Scottish government convened a resilience committee to undermine last weekend’s action, which coincided with the golf Open Championship, and called for strikes to be suspended.
