Japan: Abe seeks voters’ support for clash with North Korea
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called a snap election yesterday — seeking a mandate for military confrontation with North Korea.
Mr Abe dissolved the lower house of parliament and called new elections for October 22.
Minutes later, he delivered a bellicose speech to members of his Liberal Democratic Party.
