SCOTLAND: Championship leaders Dundee United were held 1-1 by bottom club Brechin, who are still without a win this season, and saw their lead at the top reduced to just one point after St Mirren edged out Inverness 2-0.

Livingstone are a point further back in third following their 3-0 win at Queen of the South, Dunfermline needed Nicky Clark’s late equaliser to grab a 2-2 draw with Dumbarton, and Greenock Morton comfortably saw off Falkirk 3-0.

NORTHERN IRELAND: Premiership league leaders Coleraine were held 1-1 by Crusaders but maintained a six-point lead at the top after Glenavon had lost 1-0 at home to Linfield.

Cliftonville continued their excellent recent form, claiming a fifth win on the trot after beating Ballymena 1-0, Dungannon scored four first-half goals to thump Carrick 4-0, and Ards won 2-0 at Glentoran.

Bottom club Ballinamallard gained their first point in six games after drawing 1-1 with Warrenpoint.

PALESTINE: Jabal al-Mukaber (Al-Ram) lost 1-0 to Hilal al-Quds (Jerusalem) but still top the West Bank league, a point ahead of Shabab al-Khaleel, who won 2-1 at Shabab Alsamu in the Hebron derby.

Bottom club Shabab al-Khader (Bethlehem) grabbed only their second point after drawing 2-2 at Ahli al-Khaleel (Hebron), while Al-Birah Institution won 2-0 at Shabab al-Dhahiriya.

Thaqafi Tulkarem drew 0-0 with Shabab Dora (Hebron) and Markz Balata (Nablus) thumped Taraji Wadi al-Nes 4-0.
