Mother commits suicide while facing eviction

A MOTHER facing eviction killed herself and her two children after she suffered a miscarriage and lost a close friend, a coroner ruled today.

Sydnie Macfarlane, 28, died after taking lethal drugs, which she also gave to her nine-year-old daughter and three-year-old son between January 27 and 30 last year.

Southwark Coroner’s Court heard Ms Macfarlane had a “difficult childhood” with drug-addicted parents but had never used drugs herself.
