Uber criticised for curtailing where drivers can work

THE GMB union slammed Uber today for announcing that it would prevent drivers from working outside the region in which their licensing authority is.
From March 14, Uber will be dividing Britain into licensing areas, meaning drivers will only be able to receive requests from the Uber app in the region where their licence was issued.
The union warned that the changes would cause delays in licence applications and lead to major cities like London being inundated with more drivers.
