NRL to play ball and release players for US Test
New Zealand's rugby league team perform a haka,

NRL clubs are set to release players for the mid-season Test between England and New Zealand in Denver following clear-the-air talks in Australia.

Although the match on June 23 is being played during the international break and is sanctioned by the Rugby League International Federation, several NRL clubs had expressed their concerns over travel and medical issues associated with playing at the Mile High Stadium.

But New Zealand Rugby League chair Reon Edwards said today that the match “is on track” after he managed to satisfy those concerns at a meeting with the 16 NRL clubs, NRL executives and the Rugby League Players Association, which was also attended by RLIF chair John Grant.
