Drill rappers banned from ‘glorifying’ gang violence

FIVE “drill” rappers were yesterday banned from “glorifying” violence in their music and ordered to give police at least 24 hours’ notice before they record or perform.

In what is believed to be the first order of its kind, a judge banned Yonas Girma, Micah Bedeau, Isaac Marshall, Jordan Bedeau and Rhys Herbert, from mentioning death or injury in songs or on social media.

They are also banned from mentioning the death of 19-year-old Abdullahi Tarabi — known as Teewiz — who was fatally stabbed.
