Campaigners demand that spycops inquiry ‘must be extended to Scotland’

CAMPAIGNERS will gather in Glasgow today to demand that the undercover policing inquiry be extended to Scotland.

The public inquiry was established three years ago, but its remit only covers England and Wales, despite evidence that the undercover Metropolitan Police units also operated north of the border.

Speakers at the meeting will include Andrea, a Scottish activist deceived into long-term relationship by undercover police officer Carlo Neri, and Labour MSP Neil Findlay.
