Northern Ireland: 10-man Glenavon came from behind to win 2-1 at eight-man Glentoran and moved back to the top of the Irish Premiership after Linfield surprisingly lost their first game of the season by the same score at lowly Ards.

Coleraine beat Crusaders 1-0, Ballymena drew 1-1 with bottom club Dungannon, Cliftonville ended Warrenpoint’s recent run of form with a 3-1 defeat and Institute saw off Newry 2-0.

Palestine: Champions Hilal al-Quds moved back to the top of the West Bank League after they won 1-0 at bottom club Shabab al-Dhahiriya and Markz Balata (Nablus) were held 2-2 by al-Birah Institution.

Shabab Alsamu (Hebron) beat Shabab al-Am’ari (Ramallah) 2-0, Markaz Tulkarm edged out Ahli al-Khalil 2-1, Thaqafi Tulkarem drew 1-1 at Taraji Wadi al-Nes and Shabab al-Khaleel saw off Jabal al-Mukaber (al-Ram) 2-0.

Scotland: Ross County beat Ayr 2-1 to leapfrog them at the top of the Scottish Championship while Inverness stayed third after their 1-1 draw at Dundee United.

Queen of the South snatched a 1-0 win at Dunfermline, bottom club Falkirk lost yet again, 1-0 at Morton, and are now four points adrift of Alloa, who won their first game of the season by the same score against Partick Thistle.

Wales: Aeron Edward’s stunning first-half strike helped TNS to a 3-0 win over Connah’s Quay and put them back at the Welsh Premier League summit after Saturday evening’s top of the table clash.

Third-placed Barry Town left it late to seal a 5-2 victory over bottom club Llanelli, who ended the game with nine men. Bala won 2-1 at Carmarthen, Newtown saw off Caernarfon 3-0, Cefn Druids drew 1-1 with Cardiff Met and Aberystwyth beat Llandudno 1-0.
