WELCOME to the inaugural Scottish edition of the Morning Star.
Since I was appointed Scotland editor in March, I’ve worked to build the paper’s profile and value north of the border. We’ve expanded our coverage of Scottish cultural events, from gigs in Glasgow to theatre in Pitlochry.
But for a small paper with one edition, it can often be a struggle to give Scottish news — including industrial stories which get little coverage in the rest of the media — the emphasis it deserves.
