VAUXHALL MP Kate Hoey will not be seeking selection to be a Labour MP at the next general election.

In a letter addressed to her constituents Ms Hoey said she had already decided to not seek re-election in a proposed 2020 general election before being persuaded to fight to retain the seat in 2017.

She wrote that she will “continue every single day to give my all to help my constituents” and serve with “energy, honesty and integrity” until the next general election.
