Anti-war campaigners vow to oppose Johnson's ‘intervention ideology’
CEREN SAGIR reports from Stop the War's annual conference
ANTI-WAR campaigners have vowed to oppose any military attack on Iran amid mounting tensions in the region.
Stop the War Coalition national officer Chris Nineham told the movement’s annual conference on Saturday that Prime Minister Boris Johnson is committed to an “intervention ideology” and a “slavish” pro-US Brexit deal.
“Boris Johnson’s government is trying to push us as close as possible to Washington in regards to policies on Iran,” Mr Nineham said.
