Labour's Bristol North West MP accused of ‘spying’ on local members in reselection row

BLAIRITE MP Darren Jones has been accused of “spying” and using “legal intimidation” against local members in his reselection process, the Star has learned.

Local Labour sources say that the Bristol North West MP has asked members to attend trigger-ballot meetings in order to record what was said, so he can pass the details to a law firm.

Documents seen by the Star show that Mr Jones sent an email to his constituency’s executive committee which said: “I will have at least two volunteers at each meeting, one of whom will be there to note procedure and compliance.
