London bus drivers move closer to strike action

MORE than 20,000 “sick and tired” London bus drivers have overwhelmingly voted for strike action in a consultative ballot, their union Unite announced today.
The workers in garages across the capital voted by 97 per cent in favour of walking out against the growing problem of fatigue.
Staff are being exhausted by poor shift schedules, a lack of breaks and an absence of decent facilities to take rests in, the union said.
