The Morning Star 2026 Conference
Preview of this weekend’s races

ASCOT is the main port of call for national hunt fans this afternoon and the Long Walk Hurdle at 2.25 could go a long way to deciding which of these lung burster starts favourite for the Stayers Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

The fascinating runner is of course Main Fact who has reeled off eight consecutive wins on the flat and over jumps.

His last success in the big handicap hurdle at Haydock Park last month had to be seen to be believed as the seven-year-old looked in trouble turning for home, but once his stamina kicked into play the David Pipe-runner fairly flew home.
