MIDDLESBROUGH and Blackburn played out a 1-1 draw yesterday afternoon in a game from which both sides will take positives as well as more clarity on areas for improvement.

Each team had a man sent off in the second half, with Rovers defender Hayden Carter given a second yellow card before a questionable straight red was shown to Boro’s Sam Morsy.

Both teams looked like works in progress as they plan for a playoff finish this season.
