Mass murderer Breivik uses parole hearing to give Nazi salutes and promote racist propaganda
Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik arrives in court on the first day of a hearing where he is seeking parole, in Skien, Norway, Tuesday, January 18, 2022

MASS murderer Anders Behring Breivik used a scheduled parole hearing today to give nazi salutes and display white supremacist propaganda.

The Norwegian far-right killer, who slew 77 people, mostly teenagers, in a bomb and gun massacre in 2011, is serving a 21-year jail sentence that can be extended indefinitely if courts consider he remains a threat to the public.

The unusual clause allowing Mr Breivik to be held indefinitely also allows him to challenge his imprisonment annually — which a victims’ family support group has warned will give him opportunities to promote racist propaganda.
