Union leaders urge ScotRail bosses to make improved offer for train drivers to get country running again

SCOTRAIL bosses must come up with an improved offer for train drivers in a bid to get the country’s railways running normally again, Aslef demanded today.

Kevin Lindsay from the train drivers’ union insisted that “the ball is clearly in ScotRail’s court now” after Aslef’s national executive committee rejected an increased pay offer of 4.2 per cent.

The company, which was nationalised in April, has introduced a reduced timetable amid an ongoing dispute with the union.
