Iran sentences two women to death for human trafficking and ‘promoting homosexuality’

IRAN announced death sentences for two women accused of crimes including human trafficking today — but supporters say they were gay rights activists.
Zahra Sedighi and Elham Chobdar have the right to appeal.
The charges hinted at the two campaigners’ association with the LGBT movement, accusing them of “corruption on Earth” and “promoting homosexuality and Christianity.”
