Just stop Oil activists block London traffic as government commits to new coal mine
Just Stop Oil activists blocked traffic in Stoke Newington [Just Stop Oil]

CLIMATE activists stopped more traffic in central London today to demand the government halts new oil and gas licences and reverses this week’s decision on a new coal mine.

Just Stop Oil supporters wearing hi-vis vests walked onto Whitechapel Road, East London and proceeded to march slowly, causing delays to rush hour traffic.

Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove announced on Wednesday that an estimated £165 million will be invested into Britain’s first new coal mine for three decades in Whitehaven, Cumbria, despite objections internationally.
