Black prisoners have ‘fundamental divisions’ from white prisoners in trust and communication in the system

BLACK prisoners have “fundamental divisions” from white prisoners on a lack of trust and communication in the system, a damning new report has found.
The report, released today, by the Inspectorate of Prisons said that the problems could be tackled through “taking a more creative approach” focused on building mutual trust and respect.
The lack of trust came from a range of things from the disproportionate use of force against black prisoners through to concerns that they were less likely to be offered coveted jobs, education or other incentive programmes within prison.
