Sir Keir backs Khan on plans to expand Ulez car pollution charge

SIR KEIR STARMER has backed London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s plans to expand the Ulez charge on the most polluting vehicles across the capital.

The Labour leader said today that Mr Khan “has no choice” as he was legally bound to improve London’s air quality.

Addressing a listener question on LBC, Sir Keir, a former director of public prosecutions, said: “I accept that the mayor has no choice but to go ahead because of the legal obligation on him.
