MEN’S CYCLING: Primoz Roglic beat Ben O’Connor by over two-and-half minutes to claim his fourth La Vuelta title in Madrid on Sunday.

Enric Mas was a further 45 seconds back in third place with Ireland’s Eddie Dunbar eleventh and Adam Yates the highest placed British rider in twelfth.

Stefan Kung won his first Grand Tour stage with victory in Sunday’s short 25-kilometre time trial, finishing 31 seconds ahead of Roglic.
