WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Katie Wilkinson netted another hat-trick as last season’s runners-up Rangers romped to a 9-0 win at Montrose and remain top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League on goal difference from Hibs, who won 5-0 at Motherwell and Celtic 4-0 winners in Aberdeen. Queen’s Park edged out Spartans 1-0, Glasgow City earned a 2-0 victory at Partick Thistle and bottom club Dundee United lost 8-0 at home to Hearts.
MEN’S CRICKET: Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto paid tribute to his compatriots that were killed in the recent protests after Bangladesh recorded their first ever test match victory over Pakistan on Sunday. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 4-21 as Pakistan were scuttled for 146 in their second innings enabling the Bangladeshis to earn a thumping 10-wicket win. The second and final test starts on Friday.
