Labour conference cheers Ukrainian ambassador
Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK General Valerii Zaluzhnyi speaking during the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, September 22, 2024

LABOUR cheered continued war today as conference delegates gave an ovation to Ukrainian ambassador to London General Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

The general, a former commander of Ukrainian armed forces, thanked the government for its support in the continuing conflict with Russia and asserted Ukraine’s right to strike at targets within the country.

Britain has been pressing for the Ukrainians to be allowed to fire British-made missiles into Russia, but the White House has yet to give the vital go-ahead.
