MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Defending URC champions Glasgow enjoyed an eight try 52-36 win in Cardiff as Leinster continued their perfect start with a 35-5 success at bottom club Benetton and the Lions thumped Edinburgh 55-21.

Stormers romped to a 36-5 win at Zebre, Munster dominated the Ospreys 23-0, Connacht edged to a 24-23 victory at Scarlets, Ulster went down 47-21 at the Bulls and the Sharks needed an injury time try to beat Newport Dragons 33-30.

WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Ireland were beaten 21-8 by hosts Canada in Vancouver in their second match of the WXV1 tournament.
