MEN’S FOOTBALL: Linfield take a five-match unbeaten run and massive 12-point Irish Premiership lead into tomorrow evening’s game with reigning champions Larne, who currently languish in 9th but have six games in hand.

Elsewhere, on Monday night second-placed Dungannon visit Cliftonville, it’s third against fourth as Glentoran take on Portadown, bottom club Loughall face Coleraine, Glenavon are in Ballymena and second-bottom Carrick Rangers meet Crusaders.

MEN’S CRICKET: No 10 Kagiso Rabada hit an unbeaten 31 as South Africa wobbled to a two-wicket win over Pakistan on Sunday morning at Centurion Park and retained their position at the top of the World Test Championship.

Muhammad Abbas had taken 6-54 as the South Africans lost five wickets for 37 runs and collapsed to 99-8 before Rabada’s rescue act.

The second and final Test starts in Cape Town on Friday.

WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Gwalia Lightning top the Celtic Challenge after keeping up their unbeaten start to the season with a 10-0 win over Brython Thunder in Llanelli on Saturday.

Beth Buttimer scored two tries as the Clovers came from 10-0 down to overwhelm the Wolfhounds 31-10 in Dublin, gaining revenge for last week’s 33-7 defeat.

Neither Glasgow nor Edinburgh were in action. Gwalia travel to face the Clovers in Belfast next Saturday.

ICE HOCKEY: Cardiff Devils maintained their four-point Elite League lead after a 3-2 home win over Coventry on Saturday evening.

Second-placed Belfast play one of their two games in hand against Dundee on Monday evening following a 4-1 victory over Glasgow, who meet bottom of the table Fife at the Braehead Stadium tomorrow night.

Tomorrow evening’s other fixture sees defending champions Sheffield, who sit sixth, host Manchester.
