Extinction Rebellion tells insurance firms to cut ties with fossil fuels or face protests
Extinction Rebellion demonstrators in Whitehall, London, on the last day of the environmental action group's four days of action that they have called ‘The Big One,’ April 24, 2023

EXTINCTION REBELLION (XR) issued an ultimatum to insurance bosses today as the climate group gears up for a week of protests across the country.

The group urged the companies to make a pledge to stop insuring all oil, gas and coal projects — or face actions and protests later this month.
