Workers vow to resist Volkswagen plans to close at least three plants in Germany

WORKERS vowed today that they will resist car-maker Volkswagen’s plans to close at least three plants in Germany.

The head of the company’s works council Daniela Cavallo said management announced plans to close at least three plants during a meeting with VW workers at the company’s Wolfsburg headquarters on Monday, German news agency DPA reported.

VW has about 120,000 employees in 10 plants across Germany.
