Dentists say Sadiq Khan has chance to go further to end London’s dental crisis
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, speaks to the media after launching his Greener Schools pilot at Avondale Park Primary School in London, December 5, 2024

THE mayor of London has the chance to go further to end the capital’s dental care crisis, the British Dental Association (BDA) has said.

A new report by London Assembly’s health committee has called on Sadiq Khan to take a lead on preventative policies and use his influence to press care boards to commission dental services.

The report, which also calls for the mayor to press for government reform of NHS dentistry, warns that dentistry in London is not meeting the population’s needs.
