WOMEN’S FOOTBALL:

Glasgow City still lead the Scottish Premiership by a point after they saw off Partick Thistle 3-0 while Charlie Devlin netted a hat-trick as second-placed Rangers stuffed Montrose 10-2.

Bayley Hutchinson also bagged a treble for Hearts, who are level on points with the Gers, in their 9-0 crushing of bottom club Dundee United, Hibs thumped Aberdeen 7-1, Spartans drew 1-1 with Queen’s Park and Celtic won 4-0 at Motherwell.

ICE HOCKEY:

Belfast Giants forward Ben Lake was fined and received a one game suspension after being charged with violently forcing an opponent into the boards during their 5-3 Challenge Cup win over the Fife Flyers on Saturday.

Guildford’s Daniel Catenacci is also banned for a game after dangerous play while Manchester’s Grant Hebert escaped with a fine for careless use of his stick during their 5-3 loss at Sheffield.

WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION:

Exeter top the Women’s Premiership by three points and preserved the league’s only unbeaten record after earning a 29-12 bonus point win against second-placed Saracens.

Defending champions Gloucester-Hartpury are third following their 27-14 victory over bottom of the table Sale, Harlequins came from behind to beat Bristol 34-19 and Leicester are still without a win after losing out 17-36 at home to Ealing.

MEN’S FOOTBALL:

The fourth round of the Champions League rolls around this evening with only Aston Villa and Liverpool still boasting 100 per cent records.

The reds take on German champions Leverkusen, who are yet to lose, while Villa are at Club Brugge tomorrow.

Elsewhere, this evening Manchester City visit Sporting Lisbon, tournament top-scorers Dortmund play Sturm Graz, Celtic host Leipzig, and Real Madrid take on AC Milan.
