MEN’S CRICKET: World champions India are one up as they head into tomorrow’s second leg of a three-match Twenty20 series with Bangladesh.

The Indians cruised to a seven-wicket win in the opening game after chasing down Bangladesh’s 127 all out with more than eight overs to spare as Hardik Pandya top-scored with a rapid 39 not out.

Bangladesh are ranked as the world’s ninth best Twenty20 team, eight places below India.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: The first round of Champions League group stage matches conclude tomorrow evening with Arsenal visiting Bayern Munich for the early evening kick off and Norway’s Valerenga taking on Juventus in Group C.

Stockholm-based Hammarby are up against Austrian champions St Polten while Manchester City host a Barcelona team attempting to reach its fifth final in a row, and claim a third successive title, in Group D.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Patrick Mahones threw for 331 yards as reigning Superbowl champions Kansas City Chiefs brushed aside the New Orleans Saints 26-13 tomorrow morning to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.

The Minnesota Vikings are the only other unbeaten team in the whole of the NFL.

Kansas City next travel to face the San Francisco 49ers, who have already lost three games, in a repeat of last year’s final.

NETBALL: England claimed a 2-1 series win and the Taini Jamison trophy despite losing out 61-56 to New Zealand in their final test match on Monday evening.

The Silver Ferns are still rated as the world’s second-best team behind Australia with England and Jamaica in joint third.

New Zealand next face the Aussies in a three-match series at the end of this month before Jamaica visit England in November.
