A NURSING union has called for mental health support for staff after revealing that specialist hubs are closing, leaving workers at risk during “a stress and anxiety crisis.”

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) said one-third of 41 mental health hubs across England have closed, leaving an estimated one million NHS and care staff without support.

A further seven hubs have told the RCN they have less than a year of funding available.
