India police file charges of sexual harassment against wrestling federation president following months of protests

POLICE in India filed charges of sexual harassment today following their investigation into conduct the of Indian wrestling federation president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Mr Singh, who denies the allegations, faces a maximum of five years in prison.

The 66-year-old powerful lawmaker representing the ruling nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party is being accused of sexually harassing seven young female wrestlers.
