Tory leadership candidates vow to continue Rwanda deportations
Former foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt has even pledged to expand the policy, despite the United Nations refugee agency warning that it would breach international law. 

TORY leadership contenders queueing up to back the government’s cruel policy of sending asylum-seekers to Rwanda has been branded “deplorable” by a refugee charity. 

So far, nine out of the 11 candidates hoping to replace Boris Johnson as prime minister have said that they would continue the deporting of asylum-seekers to the east African nation. 

The past few days have seen candidates scrambling over one another to throw their weight behind the scheme, with former foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt even pledging to expand it, despite the United Nations refugee agency warning that it would breach international law.
