Support available to low-income households must be reassessed, economist warns

Joseph Rowntree Foundation chief economist Rebecca McDonald appeared in the latest edition of the Committee Corridor podcast to discuss who is paying for the cost-of-living crisis.
Ms McDonald told Labour MP Darren Jones, the podcast’s host, that the Office for Budget Responsibility forecasts a “significant” 7 per cent crunch in the spending power of low-income households by the end of next year.
