There are few more entertaining sports when played at this level, argues JAMES NALTON

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Defending champions The New Saints top the Cymru Premier by three points after they brushed aside Barry Town 4-0 and their nearest challengers Penybont were held 0-0 at Llansawel Briton Ferry.
Third-placed Caernarfon Town slipped further off the pace with a 1-0 loss at Colwyn Bay while Haverfordwest beat Flint Town 3-1, Cardiff Met saw off Bala 2-0 and bottom of the table Llanelli lost 3-0 at Connah’s Quay.
WOMEN’S CYCLING: Dutch rider Demi Vollering rode solo for over 37kms to win the European Road Race championship in southern France on Saturday afternoon.
She finished 78 seconds ahead of Poland’s Kasia Niewiadoma with Vollering’s compatriot Anna Van der Breggen in third.
Ireland’s Fiona Mangan and Caoimhe O’Brien were among the 48 cyclists that didn’t complete the race. There were no British riders taking part.
MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Cobus Reinach and Malcolm Marx scored two tries each as South Africa came from behind to edge out Argentina 29-27 at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon and claimed their second successive Rugby Championship title.
New Zealand gained a 28-14 win over Australia in Perth to finish level with the South Africans, but had a much inferior points difference. Argentina finished bottom of the table, one point below Australia.
SPEEDWAY: Belle Vue captain Brady Kurtz bagged 20 points and Sheffield’s Jack Holder weighed in with 17 as last year’s runners-up Australia won the Speedway of Nations tournament in Torun on Saturday night.
Hosts Poland, led by world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, finished second, one point ahead of Denmark with defending champions Britain fifth. Sweden’s Fredrik Lindgren was the highest individual points scorer.
