MEN’S CRICKET: Pakistan beat South Africa by seven wickets in Faisalabad on Saturday to claim a 2-1 victory in their one-day series. 

Leg spinner Abrar Ahmed took 4-27 as the South Africans slumped from 72-0 to 143 all out with only four batsmen reaching double figures. 

Pakistan raced to their target in the 26th over despite losing Fakhar Zaman to the second ball of their innings with Saim Ayub hitting a run-a-ball 77.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Coleraine top the Irish Premiership by four points after leaving it late to snatch a 1-1 draw at defending champions Linfield. 

Larne moved into second place following their 3-0 win over Portadown, as Glentoran suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at bottom club Glenavon. 

Carrick went down 2-1 at home to Crusaders, Cliftonville beat Dungannon 2-1 and Ballymena ended their four match losing run with a last-minute 3-2 win in Bangor.

WOMEN’S TENNIS: Elena Rybakina beat world number one Aryna Sabalenka 6-3 7-6 (7-0) to win the end of season WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday. 

She won £3.98 million in prize money, the biggest amount ever awarded in women’s tennis, and moved up to fifth in the world rankings. 

Rybakina is the 11th different winner of the WTA Finals since 2014, Sabalenka has yet to pick up the trophy. 

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Australia beat England 30-8 on Saturday afternoon at Headingley to seal a 3-0 whitewash in their Ashes series. 

Leading 12-8 at half-time the Australians ran in second-half tries from Harry Grant and Reece Walsh twice to gain their biggest win in the three games. 

The Aussies have won the last 13 series against either England or Great Britain dating back to 1970. Next year’s World Cup takes place in Australia.
