WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Glasgow City remain unbeaten but their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League is down to four points after they were held to a 0-0 draw by defending champions Hibs while second-placed Hearts cruised to an 8-1 win over bottom of the table Hamilton. Rangers won 3-0 at Motherwell, Celtic saw off Partick 2-0 and Montrose climbed into the top six with a 2-1 victory in Aberdeen.
DARTS: New world number one Luke Littler followed up his victories at the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts by beating Nathan Aspinall 11-8 to win Sunday evening’s Players Championship final at Minehead. Earlier in the evening on the same stage Dutchman Gian van Veen became World Youth Champion for the second successive year after beating Doncaster’s Beau Greaves 6-3 in the final.
ICE HOCKEY: Cardiff Devils defenceman Mark Richardson broke the Elite League’s all-time appearance record after clocking up his 1,178th game in their 5-0 win over bottom club Fife on Sunday evening. Richardson even bagged an assist on their fifth goal which saw the Devils reinforce their third place in the table. League leaders Nottingham edged to a 4-3 win at Dundee to stay level on points with Sheffield who thumped Manchester 5-0.
MEN’S FOOTBALL: Matthew Chubb’s stoppage-time goal helped Cardiff Met come from behind to beat Welsh Cup holders The New Saints 2-1 in their third round tie. Last year’s runners up Connah’s Quay went down 2-1 at second tier Llandudno, Glynneath Town, the lowest ranked team left in the competition, lost 5-2 to Trearddur Bay, Bangor 1876 beat Holywell 2-1 and Newport City needed penalties to see off Blaenavon after a 2-2 draw.
