MEN’S BASKETBALL: Newcastle Eagles host London Lions in the first leg of their British Basketball League (BBL) semi-final play-off tomorrow evening.

The Eagles are the most successful team in BBL history with seven titles but finished five places and a massive 30 points below champions London in the regular season.

Tonight’s second semi-final sees Sheffield travelling to Ellesmere Port to take on Cheshire Phoenix.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Table-topping Shelbourne take their stuttering form and three-point League of Ireland lead into tonight’s home match with struggling Drogheda while second-placed reigning champions Shamrock Rovers take on St Patrick’s in Dublin’s Luas derby.

Derry host Bohemians, Waterford face bottom club Dundalk and Galway put the league’s best defensive record and a six-match unbeaten run on the line against Sligo Rovers.

NETBALL: Super League actions returns tomorrow evening with second-placed Loughborough visiting Team Bath, London Pulse, who only trail Loughborough on points difference back at the Copper Box Arena to face Surrey Storm and Leeds Rhinos up against in-form Saracens Mavericks.

League leaders Manchester are at home to Cardiff on Saturday evening after winless bottom club Strathclyde have hosted the Severn Stars.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The odds are against Crewe when they visit Doncaster Rovers for the second leg of their League Two promotion semi-final tonight.

Doncaster took the first leg 2-0, extending their unbeaten run to 13 games, only two of which have been draws, while Crewe have won just one of their last 10 games.

The winners will play either Crawley or Milton Keynes in the final, with Crawley leading 3-0 from the first leg.
