DARTS: Newly crowned UK Open champion Luke Littler beat Nathan Aspinall 6-3 to win Thursday night’s Premier League final in Brighton. Littler is now just two points behind world number one Luke Humphries in the table with Aspinall a further five points back in third. Both Humphries and Rob Cross hit nine dart finishes during the evening’s matches. Nottingham hosts next week’s sixth leg of this 17-round tournament.
MEN’S BASKETBALL: Romania’s Cluj-Napoca needed two periods of overtime to edge out the Vilnius Wolves 100-99 and make it through to the last eight of the EuroCup where they will face regular season champions Valencia. Anthony Brown top-scored with 20 points as Ankara brushed aside Podgorica 93-73, Olimpija Ljubljana beat Besiktas Istanbul 96-86 while Gran Canaria held on to squeeze past Venice 84-80 and set up a quarter final tie against Jerusalem.
