NETBALL: London Pulse still top the Super League by two points after they came from behind to see off Manchester Thunder 58-48 and second-placed Loughborough brushed aside London Mavericks 79-58. Betsy Creak top-scored with 34 goals as Birmingham beat Nottingham Forest 75-69 to end their chances of making the play-offs and bottom club Cardiff claimed their second win of the season with a 60-52 victory at Leeds.

ICE HOCKEY: Despite finishing rock bottom of the Elite League after losing 47 of their 54 games and finishing 37 points adrift of the play-offs, Fife Flyers, Britain’s oldest professional ice hockey team, have confirmed that they will be back for more next season. The Kirkcaldy-based club were recently taken over by a North American-based consortium that will have ex-Cardiff Devils player Max Birbraer as its president and general manager.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander netted 34 points and made eight assists as Oklahoma City brushed aside the Indiana Pacers 123-107 in this morning’s second leg of their scheduled seven-game NBA finals to tie the series at 1-1. Indiana have home court advantage in the next two games with the first tipping off on Thursday morning. Neither team has previously won the Larry O’Brien trophy.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Cuba play Bermuda tomorrow evening needing a draw to progress to the third round of Concacaf’s World Cup-qualifying tournament. Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, Haiti and Honduras, who edged to 1-0 win in the Cayman Islands, have already sealed their places in the next stage. Cuba last reached the World Cup finals in 1938 when they beat Romania over two legs before slumping 8-0 to Sweden in the quarter-finals.
