WOMEN’S CRICKET: The last round of Charlotte Edwards Cup group stage fixtures play out tomorrow with the top four already guaranteed places in the Saturday’s finals day.

Reigning champions the Southern Vipers take on the South East Stars at Hove and table-toppers the Blaze travel to Edgbaston to play the Central Sparks while Northern Diamonds face Lancashire and current bottom club the Sunrisers are up against Western Storm at Chelmsford.

SPEEDWAY: Benjamin Basso led the way with 10+1 points as the King’s Lynn mini-revival continued on Monday night with a 50-40 victory over the Oxford Spires.

Leading from heat four King’s Lynn also claimed the aggregate point but still remain bottom of the Premiership, two points adrift of Birmingham.

Maciej Janowski top-scored with 16 points for Oxford who have now lost five of their six away fixtures.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The second round of matches get under way at the Euros tomorrow, with hosts Germany taking on Hungary in Stuttgart tomorrow evening after Croatia have played Albania.

Scotland will be without centre-half Ryan Porteous, who has been suspended for two games, when they return to action after their opening day 5-1 thumping against Germany, for the early evening game against Switzerland in Cologne.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Jayson Tatum netted 31 points, made 11 assists and eight rebounds as the Boston Celtics beat Dallas 106-88 on Tuesday morning to claim a record-breaking 18th NBA title with a 4-1 series win.

The Celtics’ Jaylen Brown was named as the tournament’s most valuable player. Luka Doncic top-scored for Dallas with 28 points.

Boston have been this year’s dominant NBA team and finished the season with an 80 per cent win ratio.
