The Super Falcons have now won the title on ten of the thirteen times it has been held, and never finished outside the top four.
They are ranked as the world’s 36th best team, 24 places above Morocco.
MEN’S RUGBY: Ray French, who played international rugby at both codes, has died aged 85.
He began his rugby union career at his hometown St Helens club, winning four caps for England before switching to rugby league.
He played in the Saints team that won the 1966 Challenge Cup final and earned four caps for Great Britain after moving to Widnes. French received an MBE for services to rugby league in 2011.
