WOMEN’S BOXING: Former World Youth champion Caroline Dubois will put her IBO title on the line when she fights Uruguayan Maira Moneo for the interim WBC lightweight belt at Barnsley’s Oakwell stadium on August 3. Grenada-born Dubois, who represented Britain at the Tokyo Olympics, has won all nine of her professional bouts while Moneo has 14 wins and one loss by disqualification on her record.
MEN’S CRICKET: Mark Wood replaces now-retired Jimmy Anderson as the only change to England’s starting XI for tomorrow’s second test against the West Indies at Trent Bridge. It will be the first time since 2012 that England have started a home test match without either Stuart Broad or Anderson. Wood has not bowled competitively with the red ball since the fifth test of the Indian tour in March.
MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Ex-rugby league player Regan Grace will be amongst five players making their international debuts tomorrow when Wales take on Queensland in Brisbane. Cory Hill will captain the Welsh who are looking to end a nine-match losing streak after their 2-0 test series defeat to Australia. Queensland finished fifth in this year’s Super Rugby Pacific competition and were knocked out in the play-off quarter finals.
MEN’S FOOTBALL: League of Ireland table-toppers Shelbourne take a 2-1 lead into tonight’s Europa Conference League first qualifying round second leg tie against St Joseph’s in Gibraltar.
