Last year’s runners-up Inverness Caley face the Lowland League’s Broomhill tomorrow with Cup-holders Celtic not in action until Sunday when they host Buckie Thistle from the Highland League.
CRICKET:
Pakistan are 3-0 down heading into Saturday’s fourth leg of their five-match Twenty20 series with New Zealand in Christchurch.
Finn Allen smashed 16 sixes in his record-breaking 137 from just 62 balls as the Kiwis posted 224-7 in Wednesday’s game.
That total was never threatened by Pakistan who struggled to 179-7 and slumped to a 45-run defeat with Babar Azam top scoring on 58.
MEN’S RUGBY UNION:
The final round of European Champions Cup pool games kick off tomorrow night with Connacht on the verge of an early exit from the competition, and still looking for their first win, when they welcome Bristol to Galway.
Glasgow will qualify for the last 16 if they beat Toulon at Scotstoun tomorrow evening and reigning champions La Rochelle must win at Sale on Sunday to retain any chance of making it through.
MEN’S BASKETBALL:
Joventut Badalona won their seventh EuroCup game in a row, and secured their play-off qualification place, after leaving it until the last second to edge out London 82-80 at the Copper Box Arena on Wednesday night.
Group A table-toppers Paris romped to a 104-86 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv and Besitkas also claimed their spot in the end of season play-offs with a 94-83 win in Hamburg.
