WOMEN’S CRICKET: South Africa have an unassailable 2-0 lead when they face Ireland in Benoni tomorrow for the final leg of their Twenty20 series. The Irish suffered a comprehensive 65 run defeat on Sunday in Paarl after going down to a 105 run mauling in Cape Town’s series opener. The teams will start a three match one-day series in East London on Saturday with South Africa ranked as the world’s fourth best team, six places above Ireland.
AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Cameron Dicker kicked an overtime field goal to earn the Los Angeles Chargers a 22-19 win over defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday morning. The Chargers improved their record to nine wins and four losses, moving them fifth in the American Conference and eighth in the nationwide standings. New England Patriots are currently top of the pile on points difference from the Denver Broncos.
