The seven-year-old had failed to place in two previous outings on the flat, but in her first race for Selkirk-based trainer Stuart Coltherd, was steered to a length and a quarter win over favourite Changemyluck by jockey Jamie Hamilton.
BOXING: Wales’s unbeaten welterweight Lauren Price defends her three world title belts against Puerto Rican Stephanie Piniero in Cardiff tonight. Piniero has not lost in 10 career fights. In London, 42-year-old Derek Chisora meets 40-year-old former world champion Deontay Wilder in a non-title heavyweight bout. On Sunday night, WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois fights three-weight WBO champion Terri Harper.
DARTS: Gerwyn Price cruised to a 6-2 win over Gian van Veen in Thursday night’s Premier League final in Manchester and moved joint second in the table behind Luke Littler, who went down 6-5 to Van Veen in the first round. Josh Rock continued his improved form by beating Jonny Clayton 6-4 in his opening match but remains bottom, five points below Stephen Bunting who lost 6-2 to Price in the semi-finals.
